Gregory O'Neil Hammack, 72, was born on August 3, 1953, in Austin, Texas to William Monroe Hammack, Jr. and Mildred (Bonnet) Hammack. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Hammack.

Greg served in the United States Army National Guard after graduating from high school. He worked in construction in all different areas for 20 years. After moving to Hawaii, he surrendered to the ministry. Greg moved his family to Fort Worth, Texas and enrolled into the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He began his ministry in 1992 and pastored in churches for 25 years. During this time, he reached so many lives. Beyond his dedication to serving the Lord, Greg had a love for the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and golfing were some of the hobbies he truly enjoyed.

Above all else, Greg was a loving and caring man. He loved his family, especially his grandkids and great grandkids, and was an awesome dad and pawpaw.

Greg is survived by his wife, LuAnn Hammack; son, Neil Hammack; daughter, Kelly Hammack, 5 grandchildren, Maci, Brady, Kendall, Jaylee and Karsyn; 4 great grandchildren, Emberlee, Wylder, Bently and Ava; brother, Clay Hammack and wife, Ida and sister, Blenda Wilson, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
