Geraldene "Gerri" Taylor, 76, went to her heavenly home on March 27, 2026, passing on from this life in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Gerri was born on August 20, 1949, in Tushka, Oklahoma, the daughter of JB Taylor and Emma Jean (Coats) Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, JB Taylor and Emma Jean "Jeanne" Meeker Gilden, and daughter, Kimberly Yvette Hill.

Gerri was a lifelong resident of Choctaw County and the owner and operator of Gerri's Beautique in Hugo. She was known for her independence, strength and dedication to her community. She loved the outdoors, trail riding, cutting wood, deer and hog hunting. Gerri proudly served with the Speer Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years, a role she deeply loved. She has left a legacy of service and love to her family and community and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Gerri is survived by her loving family; daughter, Charla White and spouse Jon Paul Smith of Hugo, OK; grandchildren, Kali Haskell and husband, Hunter and Cody White; sisters, Yvonne Rector of Elmore City, OK and Deborah Kaye Mason of Marble Falls, TX; step mother, Margadell Taylor of Hugo, OK; along with a host of other family and loved ones.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Speer Volunteer Fire Department in memory of Gerri. Donations may be mailed to Speer VFD in care of Sherri Carlile 297 N 4190 Road Hugo, OK 74743.
