George Loyal Farmer, Sr., 85, was born on December 6, 1940, in Sawyer, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Patricia Farmer; and son, George Farmer.

George was a lifelong resident of the Sawyer Community. He married his loving wife, Pat, in Hugo, Oklahoma and they made their home there in Sawyer. They both were members the Valliant Assembly of God for many years. He loved the Lord and found strength, comfort, and guidance in his relationship with God.

George spent much of his life working as a rock layer, a trade that reflected his strong work ethic. He approached his work with pride and dedication, and he understood the value of honest labor. Beyond his professional career, you most likely could find him somewhere on the water, bass fishing. It was one of the many ways he appreciated the beauty of God's creation, and it was a beloved hobby that was passed down for generations. Above all else, George was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband, father and a proud Papa to his children and grandchildren, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

George is survived by his loving family; children, Travis Farmer and wife, Danette of Fort Towson, OK and Edward Farmer of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Laramie Farmer and wife, Kasi, Hayden Farmer and Stormi Joplin; four great grandchildren; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
