Frances Janette Persinger peacefully entered into eternal life at her home, surrounded by family, on April 17, 2024, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Raymond Persinger.

Frances was born on September 5, 1937, in Sobol, Oklahoma to the late Oscar and Ruby Lawless. She was a graduate from Rattan High School, Class of 1955 and after a short banking career in Oklahoma City, Frances returned to Pushmataha County. There she worked as a secretary for Guy James Construction, then at First National Bank in Antlers, later as a secretary at Rattan Public Schools for a number of years, and finally she and her husband, Raymond Persinger, took ownership of Lawless Grocery where they served their community for 34 years. Raymond and Frances built their forever home in Sobol where they raised their children and ran a small cattle operation.

Frances, known to most as Ma, was the cornerstone of her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Frances was most famous for her coconut cream pies. The kitchen was definitely her happy place. Frances found her greatest joy in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Frances was a dedicated Christ follower. She was a long-time member of Faithway Church, where she served as secretary/treasurer, and cherished her church family. Frances leaves behind a legacy of faith in the hearts of many.

Frances is survived by her loving family, children, Tim Persinger and wife, Katherine of Cyril, OK, Kim Price and husband, Tony of Sobol, OK and Teresa Montague and husband, Marty of Sobol, OK; grandchildren, Tawni Walden and husband, Lynn, Toni Rosenthal and husband, Thomas, Ashley Gibson and husband, Koby, Mandy Kelso and husband, Casey, Cory Price and wife, Lauren, Matt Montague and wife, Autumn and Kelsey Garner and husband, Ryan; great grandchildren, Claire and Camryn Walden, Ryker and Ridge Rosenthal, Hadley, Audrey, Jax and Cal Gibson, Jaylee and Channing Kelso, Lizzie and Raelyn Price, Gunner Montague, Lincoln and Maggie Garner; brothers and sisters, Patricia "Pat" Bruce and husband, Carlis, Jerry Lawless and late wife, Brenda, Bruce Lawless and wife, Beth, Monty Lawless and wife, Loretta; brother-in-law, Donnie Persinger and sister-in-law, Dianna Persinger along with a host of nieces and nephews, family, friends and loved ones.
