Eva Charlene "Charlie" Slaton, age 67, was born on December 15, 1955 in San Diego, CA to Charles and Julia "Judy" (Peck) Slaton. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Albert Slaton, Sonny Slaton and Ralph Slaton and sister, Fay Wagoner.

Charlie had a heart of gold, never met a stranger and would help anyone in need, both at her workplace and her home. Charlie worked in the the health care field for many years and became a registered nurse in 1995, retiring at the age of 59. Charlie was a devoted mother, both to her own children and to the many adoptive children that she took into her home. She loved and cared for so many. In Charlie's spare time, she loved to go to Paris to play Bingo with her daughter, Sarah and spending time with her family. They were her greatest joy and biggest blessing. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Charlie is survived by her sons, Clifton Echols and wife, Christie of Healdton, OK, Doug Echols and wife, Liz of Ratliff, OK and Juan "Taco" Echols and wife, Daela of Healdton, OK; daughters, Sarah Crouch and husband, Wayne of Valliant, OK and Julia Torres and husband, Oscar of Overton, TX; brothers, Raymond Slaton of Valliant, OK and Edward Slaton of Sherwood, OK; sisters, Brenda Lininger of Valliant, OK, Laurie Bullard of Wright City, OK and Lisa Jewell of Broken Bow, OK; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

Family led service will be held at a later date.
