Edith Lanale (Prater) Anderson was born October 24, 1962 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Orvel and Beatrice Prater. She was their third child and spent most of her life in Hugo, Oklahoma. Being a Nana was one of the greatest joys of Edith's life. She loved her grandchildren dearly and cherished the time she spent with them. She stayed close to her family throughout her life and found some of her greatest happiness in simply being surrounded by the people she loved.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Orvel and Beatrice Prater; her brother Keith Prater; husband Ricky Anderson; and nephew Aaron Cooper. She is survived by her partner in life Mickey Smith, her sons Curt Potts and wife Jenna of Choctaw, OK, Colby Prater and wife Kristen of Grant, OK; sister Anita Cooper and husband Tracy of Fort Towson, OK; sister Regina Fernandez and husband Angel of Deltona, FL; brother Lee Paul Prater and wife Judy of Fort Towson, OK and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Though she is no longer with us, the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family forever. Her stories will continue to be told, and in the moments when her family laughs together remembering her, a little piece of Edith will always be there.

She was loved deeply, she will be missed dearly, and she will never be forgotten.
