Dwayne Cunningham, 77, was born on November 10, 1946, in Rufe, OK, the son of Burl Cunningham and Yvetta (Reed) Cunningham. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dale Cunningham.

Dwayne was a life-long resident of McCurtain and Choctaw county. He worked for Brown and Root at International Paper in Valliant as a maintenance mechanic for 32 years until retiring. Dwayne married the love of his life, Mary Francis Morris, on October 5, 1990 in DeQueen, Arkansas.

Dwayne was a true outdoors man, loving to be outside any chance he could. He enjoyed camping, hunting and most of all, fishing at Pine Creek Lake, especially, with his twin brother, Wayne. Dwayne loved working with his hands. He always had a large garden and was always building things around his place. Dwayne, Mary Francis, and his brother, Dale, even built their house from the ground up and it is something that he was very proud of. Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dwayne is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Mary Francis Cunningham; children, David Scarberry of Lane, OK, Cindy Applegate of Bonnerdale, AR, Marilyn Ashlock of Lane, OK, and Nett Wright of Wilson, OK; brother, Wayne Cunningham and wife, Evelyn of Rufe, OK; sister, Carolan "Cookie" Guest and husband, Sam of Millerton, OK; sister-in-law, Mindi Westbrook; 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; 3 nieces and 6 nephews; along a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
