Doyle Eugene Winters was born on April 13, 1945, in the Crowder Springs Community, the son of Clarence "Lucky" Winters and Ruby Gladys (Elmore) Winters. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Alvie Winters, Katie Cameron, Cecil Winters, Joe Winters, Leon Winters, Dee Winters, Ruby Glen, Rudy Winters and Judy Woodrum.

Doyle worked in the Genston Plant in Plaster City, California shortly before he began his service in the United States Army in April of 1965. He completed his basic training in Fort Polk, Louisiana and was stationed in Fort Ord, California where he trained as a medical supply specialist. Doyle was later sent to the 6 ^th medical depot with the 7 ^th US Army in Einsiedlerhaf, Germany where he served 18 months. He was honorably discharged on April 3, 1967 and during his service he received the Good Conduct medal, National Dual Service Defense Medal and the Sharp Shooter Rifle award. After his return home from service, he married the love of his life, Caroline Anne Blair on July 3, 1965. Doyle worked at the Campbell Soup Plant and Superior Switchboard in Paris, Texas before retiring with Babcock Wilcox in Paris, Texas after 36 years of dedication and hard work. He served in Union Local 903 in treasure and grievances and was also a coach for Breakfast Optimist in Paris, TX. He also coached baseball, football and soccer. Doyle was the owner and operator of Winter's Wonderland for 11 years. After his retirement, they moved to Boswell and he began his 26 year career as a rancher at DW Ranch. Doyle's biggest accomplishments in life were helping his loving wife, kids, grandchildren, Dad, Mom, brothers, sister, nieces and nephews and anyone else that needed help. He loved people with his whole heart and was known to give them second, third and fourth chances if needed. Doyle will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Doyle is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Carol; son, Celvin Winters and wife Vida of Boswell, OK;  daughters, Patricia Clemens of Paris, TX, Annette Luce and husband Paul Luce of Bokchito, OK  and Christine Tapp of Boswell, OK; grandchildren, Jennifer and Steve Gregory and their children, Emma and Logan of Justin, TX, Cody Luce of Bokchito, OK, Christopher Jackson of Euless, TX, Morgan Luce and children, Caiden, JoJo, Rowan and Cora of Paris, TX, Natalie Clemens and boyfriend Cody of Arlington, TX, Katherine Clemens of Galveston, TX, Timothy Clemons and girlfriend, Dezi of Denton, TX, Breanna Luce and boyfriend Kagen of Farmersville, TX; Elizabeth "Reecey" and Taylor Skym and son Garrett of Addison, TX along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
