Dorothy Louise Mote was born on July 20, 1944, in Bennington, Oklahoma, the daughter of William Henry Gamblin and Ida Bell (Reynolds) Gamblin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Mote and  stepsons, Shorty Mote and Edward Mote.

Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Hugo and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved doing puzzle books, playing games on her tablet and people watching in her neighborhood. Dorothy loved her family above all things and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids and her grand dog Xena. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Barbara Hagger and Remona Dunlap of Hugo, OK; stepson Donald Mote of Fort Towson, OK; stepdaughter, Sussie Mote of Lake Dallas, Texas; brother, WB Gamblin of Hugo, OK; sisters, Anna Gray of Dallas, Texas and Linda McDaniel of Hugo, OK; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
