Dorothy Yvonne Gervais, 76, was born on July 19, 1947 in Springfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of Bill Gervais and Inez (Brandon) Gervais. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janet Cook.

Dorothy lived in the Hugo community for most of her life and was an LPN. Her desire to take care of others shone brightly in her work, touching the lives of countless individuals with her generous nature and compassionate heart. She was a hard worker and never gave up. Dorothy loved to meet new people and never met a stranger. She enjoyed sweet tea, Dr. Pepper and Little Debbie cakes. Dorothy loved to sit on her porch with her little dogs surrounded by the sounds of her wind chimes and watch the hummingbirds. She was a forgiving soul and was quick to offer a second chance to anyone in need. But, most of all, she loved being with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy's spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved and the lives she touched.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Gina Jordan, Teresa Tarvin, Yvonne Kendrick and Amber Westbrook; sons, Tony Kendrick and Damon Kendrick; grandchildren, Michael Moore, Benjamin Moore, Elizabeth Dillard, Eric Henry, Angel Chubbee, Gabrielle Capps, Devon Henry and Andrew Henry; numerous great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild, and sister, Linda Henderson, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
