Donald Shannon "Rooster" Crain entered the gates of Heaven on June 2nd, 2024.

Shannon was born on October 6th, 1963 in Anchorage, AK, the son of Robert Donald Crain and Judy Boucher Thomas. He is preceded in death by his father; brother, Darcy Crain; son, Rusten Cline; grandson, Hayden Hale.

Shannon was raised in Ringold, OK and was a member of the Ringold community for most of his life. He graduated from Valliant High School in 1982. He married the love of his life, Donna Gambol Crain, on May 15th, 1993, in Ringold, OK. Shannon worked as a machinist for 20+ years. He owned and operated his own machine shop for several of those years. Shannon possessed a rare talent for fixing anything that crossed his path. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. In Shannon's spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing karaoke, watching NASCAR, playing golf, and watching OU football. He was a member of the Lonely Doe Hunting Club and Idabel Country Club.

Shannon was a pillar of strength, a beacon of wisdom, and a source of boundless love for all who knew him. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched the lives of many. His guidance brought joy and laughter into the lives of those around him, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Above all things in his life, Shannon's greatest joy was his family. He loved being a husband, father, and papa. Even though his passing has left a void in his family's lives, his memory will live on through them.

Shannon is survived by his wife, Donna Crain of Valliant, OK; son, Dustin Cline and wife, Bailie Cline of Ringold, OK; daughters, Mandy Hale and husband, Gaylen Hale of Ringold, OK and Carri Cline and Jimmy Elledge of Valliant, OK; grandchildren, Maggi Hayes, Jayde Hale, Clyne Blankenship, Kylie Cline, Lyndi Cline, Chelsi Whitaker, Shayni Neal, and Blaze Neal; great-grandchildren, Ja'Kobi Whitaker, Braylin Whitaker, Kaisen Whitaker, and Taiden Howell; mother, Judy Thomas and husband, Jerry Thomas of Ringold, OK; sister, Brandei Tuck and husband, Tony Tuck of Ringold, OK; step-mother, Junette Crain of Bradenton, FL; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Elara Caring Hospice nurses, Kirstan Leffel and Trudy Daves, for the care and kindness they showed Shannon and his family.
