Don Jay Ward, 68, was born on September 1, 1955 in Kermit, Texas, the son of Donald Joseph Ward and Martha Ann (Richardson) Ward. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald Curtis Ward and brother, Hardy S. Ward.

Don lived in the Hugo area since 2019. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was an Air Frame Repair Specialist. He loved his country very much. Don studied Fine Arts at the University of Tulsa and could draw very well. He was also athletic and acrobatic. Don loved to rescue injured animals and would call them all Billy when he brought them home. He will be truly missed by his friends and loved ones.

Don is survived by his brother, Jerry A. Ward; sisters, Sonya Minnerly and Debra Ranes, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
