Derral Fennell, 89, was born on November 4, 1933 in Rufe, OK to Clarence Francis and Mary Josephine (Moser) Fennell. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald Fennell, Denzil Fennell and Delbert Fennell; sisters, Dorothy Grider and Darlene Harris.

Derral spent most of his life in the Valliant and Rufe areas. He honorably served his country in the US Army and later worked as a rancher and at the paper mill in Valliant. Derral married Millie Cantrell on July 6, 1956 in Hugo, OK. Derral loved hunting and fishing and truly enjoyed getting to catch big catfish. Derral looked forward to driving his wife crazy with his chickens. If there was something he needed done, he looked at it more as a hobby than a job. Derral loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Derral would help someone even if it meant he had to go without. He was a very giving and loving man. Derral was the watermelon champion for over ten years running; his largest watermelon was 134 pounds. Derral was a member of the Church of God in Valliant and he dearly loved the Lord. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Derral is survived by his loving wife, Millie Fennell; sons, Ronald Fennell and Rickey Fennell, grandchildren, Julie Fox, Jill Fennell, Veronica Fennell, Sydney Coffin, Alicyn Duncan and Olivia Fennell; five great grandchildren; brother, Dudley Fennell; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
