David Lee Hodges was born March 20, 1935, in Shawnee, OK, the son of David Arnold Hodges and Dorothy (Crabtree) Wamsley.  He departed from this life on November 13, 2022 in Antlers, OK at the age of 87 years.  David married Kathryn McRorey on October 23, 1957.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife, and his parents.

David had a heart of gold.  He is remembered as a very kind and loving person.  David loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting.  Kathryn was the love of his life and they were never far apart from one another.  He was an amazing dad and an awesome grandfather.  He will truly be missed by all who loved and knew him.

David is survived by his sons, Russell Hodges of Garland, TX, David Mark Hodges and wife Mai of Lake Whitney, TX, and Roger Mike Hodges of Ringold, OK; daughter, Tracy Simmons and husband Evan of Plano, TX; eight grandchildren, Haley, Michelle, Ed, Mark Christopher "Mark C", Marquie, Michael, Courtney, and Evan III; eight great-grandchildren, Alexander, Blake, Joseph, Samantha, Beaux, Haddie Mae, Alex, and Tate; along with a host of other family, friends, and loved ones.
