Cynthia Marie Kelley, 68, of Valliant, Oklahoma, passed away on February 24, 2026.

Born on March 12, 1957, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Cynthia spent most of her life in Valliant, Oklahoma, the place she always considered home.  She was a woman defined by strength, resilience, and unwavering love for her family.

Cynthia was a devoted homemaker and part-time business owner who poured her heart into everything she did. She was Christian in faith, guided by her personal relationship with God rather than tradition. She was strong-willed, passionate about her beliefs, and never afraid to speak her mind. Hardheaded and stubborn in the most endearing ways, she stood firm in what she believed and loved fiercely.

Family was the center of Cynthia's world. She is survived by her loving children: Victoria Phelps and husband Michael Phelps; Sherman Eugene Cooper and wife Angie Pacheco Cooper; and Tanner Kelley. She also lovingly raised Kambrie and Tuff as her own, giving them the same unconditional love and guidance she gave her children.

She leaves behind her sister, Brenda McDonald and husband Charlie McDonald; her brother, Donnie Mussett and wife Terri; her cherished grandchildren, Katelynne, Alexia, Jonathon and wife Natalie, Jordan, and Ashley (Shawn); and her great-grandchildren, Braxton, Mikel, Pepper, Morgan, Raelee, Josie and soon-to-be-born Grace. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will remember her strength and spirited personality.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darrell Kelley; her daughter, Karen Cooper Tims; her parents, Dock and Veda Mussett; her sister, Debra Mussett; and her brother, Jerry Mussett; Grandchildren Colton and Cody and great grandchildren Elizabeth and Lucas.

An animal lover and true outdoorswoman, Cynthia found peace in fishing and spending time outside. She was independent to her core — resilient beyond measure.

In her final season of life, Cynthia's strength shone brighter than ever. Though the road was not easy, she carried herself with grace, grit, and unwavering determination. She was held close by those who loved her most, surrounded by comfort, care, and constant presence. The woman who had spent her life caring for others was, in turn, lovingly cared for — a beautiful testament to the impact she made on everyone around her.

Cynthia will be remembered for her fierce love, her unapologetic strength, and her unwavering devotion to her family. She showed up fully and faithfully for the people she loved, offering protection, loyalty, and a love that never wavered. Her presence was powerful and steady, and her legacy lives on in the family she built, nurtured, and so fiercely protected.

There will be a gathering for memories to be shared by family and friends at the Valliant Church of God in Valliant, OK from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM on the day of the service, Monday, March 2, 2026.
