Charlie E. Hanson, 68, was born on November 19, 1956, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the son of Dewey Hanson and Elizabeth (Herndon) Hanson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dean Hanson, Bob Hanson and John Hanson and sisters, Martha Ann Maynard and Virginia Yardley.

Charlie was a lifelong resident of the Hugo area and graduated from Fort Towson High School, Class of 1976. His first love was horses, and he rodeoed most of his life. Charlie was also very good at shoeing horses and was well respected for his knowledge of them. He loved his family and friends and they will miss him deeply.

Charlie is survived by his sons, Shane Hanson and Colbey Hanson and wife, Morgan; daughter, Brandi Hanson; grandchildren, Lylah Hanson and Audyn Hanson; brothers, Sam Hanson, Bill Hanson, Jim Hanson and Les Hanson; sister, Louise Johnson along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family member and friends.
