Charles Edward Adkins Jr., 64, was born on November 23, 1958 in Valdosta, Georgia, the son of Bobby Roy Hamrick Sr. and Linda Sue King. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Terry Dewayne Adkins.

Charles was a lifelong resident of the Millerton area. He worked for many years in the construction industry as a millwright. Charles loved to tinker on old vehicles and was always looking for a good trade or barter. During his youth, he enjoyed riding around in the hills with his dad, Bobby and going hunting. However, Charles great joy in life was his family, especially, his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with them and loved to argue with his granddaughter, Hadlee. Charles will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Charles is survived by his son, Charles Edward Adkins III; daughter, Janci Lynn Adkins; grandchildren, Brinlee Rae Booth, Hadlee Jae Booth and Jayda Nichole Booth; brothers, Michael Anthony Adkins and Bobby Ray Hamrick Jr.; sisters, Charlene Adkins James and Cindy Gay; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.
