Carrie May Byrd, 66, was born on June 7, 1959, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joe Louie Drinnon and Carol Lou (Justice) Drinnon Cochran. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jeff Murphy, son, Samson Byrd and sister, Joleen Barrett.

Carrie lived most of her life in the Hugo and Sawyer area. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends. Carrie enjoyed crafting and had a great sense of humor. She was a jokester and loved her dogs, but she loved her family above all things. Carrie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Carrie is survived by her son Stacey Byrd of Salisbury, NC; daughters, Bionca Jones of Coleman, Texas and Shasta Byrd of Hugo, OK; grandchildren, Austin, Zachery, Tryston, Camaren, Rose, Zeva and Mykel; siblings, Sarah Threet of Sawyer, OK, Angie Drinnon of Sawyer, OK, Robbin James of Homerville, GA, Tammy Ragen of Milburn, OK,   Mary McLane of Sweet Home, OR, Sandy Monreal of Overbrook, OK, Jan Drinnon of Sweet Home OR, Joseph Drinnon of Ardmore, OK and  Penny Drinnon of Oklahoma City, OK, along with a host of family, friends and loved ones.
