Carolyn Jo (Cogburn) Strieby passed from this life on May 27, 2024. She lived in Hugo in her youth and attended both Goodland and then Grant High School. Her family moved to Brawley California where she met and married a local police office, Bruce Strieby. They were blessed with 5 children,  Shannon, Lee, Mark, Krisna and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; daughter, Krisna Strieby, 1 sister and 1 brother.

Carolyn was born in Leveland, Texas on April 14, 1945, the daughter of Preacher Cogburn and Ruth Matthews Cogburn. She loved gardening, cooking, dogs, cats and coffee. Carolyn loved life, music and things that sparkled. She was anxious to see Heaven and see Jesus, she is finally home.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Shannon Fuentes of Colorado, Lee Strieby of Colorado, Mark Strieby of Seattle, Washington and Ryan Strieby of South Carolina; 1 sister and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
