Carla Rea (Turpin) Grubbs was born on March 3, 1962 in Sacramento, CA, the daughter of Dellie Turpin and Joyce (Lumpkin) Turpin.  She married Nolan W. Grubbs in May of 1997 on the family ranch in Boswell, OK.  She is preceded in death by her father, and her husband, Nolan.

Carla had a passion for books.  She loved reading, especially fantasy and mystery books.  Carla's passion for books inspired her to reopen and operate the public Library in Boswell for several years.  She was a great cook, her gravy is remembered by her family as a favorite.  Carla loved her family with all her heart, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her kids and grandchildren.

Carla is survived by her son, Nolan C. Grubbs and wife Autumn of Boswell, OK; daughter, Taylor Grubbs of Boswell, OK; step-daughter, Angela Smith of Bennington, OK; mother, Joyce Turpin of Cooper, TX; brothers, Steven Turpin of Boswell, OK, and Wade Turpin of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren, Will Smith, Cameryn Grubbs, and SkyeLynn Grubbs; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
