Bob Russell Wilson, 73, the son of Robert Jason Wilson and Mildred S. Wilson, was born on February 18, 1952 in Paris, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Jason Wilson; brother-in-law, Duane Newman and nephew, Daniel Newman.

Bob was a longtime resident of McCurtain County, Oklahoma and a 1970 graduate of Valliant High School. He married Davette "Dee" Newman on June 2, 1972 at the First Baptist Church in Wright City and they made their home in Valliant. Bob worked for Brown & Root Construction from 1969 to 1972 as a heavy equipment operator and could drive any heavy equipment. After college at OSU, majoring in Animal Nutrition, he did beef research at the University of Arkansas in Newport, AR. Bob later returned to Oklahoma and started work with Tyson Foods in Quality Control. After leaving Tyson in 2005, he worked at Martin Marietta and was a 25 year Red Cross volunteer. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, ranching, and team roping. He was on the OSU College rodeo team. Bob dearly loved the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Valliant. He will truly be missed by his family and friends in the community.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Davette "Dee" Wilson of the home; son, David Jason Wilson of Garvin, OK; daughter, Jessica Endsley and husband, Steve of Garvin, OK; grandchildren, Micheala Flowers and husband, Cedric, Clay Garrett Wilson and wife, Kamrin, Patricia Hill, Ethan Wilson, Sean Wilson and wife, Mileah, Cy Russell Wilson, Amanda Wilson, Nickolas Wilson, Breanna Willis and husband, Dustin; great grandchildren, Elijah Flowers, Grayson Rothleutner, Micah Wilson; nephews, Russell Wilson and Jared Kellam; nieces, Dena Kinsey and Cassie Newman, along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
