Betty Sue (Harlin) Vavonese, 87, was born on February 18, 1936, in Soper, Oklahoma, the daughter of Bud A. Harlin and Amanda (James) Harlin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gaetano "Don" Vavonese, and grandsons, Donnie Wayne Vinson, Jr. and Neco Ward.

Betty Sue was a lifelong resident of the Hugo area. She married her husband, Gaetano "Don" Vavonese on September 29, 1987, in Miami, OK. Betty Sue was a woman of many talents. She worked as a culinary artist for many different restaurants and businesses. Later, she obtained her CNA license and worked in the health care industry for over 30 years. Betty Sue also, worked for the Choctaw Nation where she retired after 21 years. Betty Sue truly had a servant's heart and deeply cared for every person she helped throughout the years. She also loved her family dearly and her legacy will live on through them. Betty Sue will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Betty Sue is survived by her loving family, daughters, Acquanetta Davenport of Mounds, OK, Carmelita Summers of Hugo, OK, Patty Patton of Bixby, OK and Tammy Walters of Hugo, OK; sons, Robert Harlin of Okmulgee, OK, Phillip Harlin of Hugo, OK, and Clovis Ward of Hugo, OK; brother, John E. Harlin Sawyer, OK; 23 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; along with a host of other friends family and loved ones.
