Betty Jane VanWorth was born on February 9, 1931, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Thomas and Grace (White) Burnett. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Sonny VanWorth, her    second husband Ray Van Worth; son, Ronald VanWorth; sisters, Alice Richaud, and Patsy VanWorth and brothers, Homer Burnett and Alvis Burnett.

Betty moved to California with her parents and siblings as a child of the Dust Bowl. She met and married Sonny VanWorth and they raised their family in California. After Sonny passed away, she married Ray VanWorth in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1977. They moved to Hugo, Oklahoma where she worked at the sewing   factory before her retirement. Betty was a homebody and loved her family beyond measure. She enjoyed her retirement and loved to sew and so she spent her days quilting, doing embroidery work and reading. Betty lived in the Hugo area for over 30 years before moving to Wewoka to be closer to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Betty is survived by her son, Dennis VanWorth of Santa Maria, CA; daughters, Connie VanWorth of Wewoka, OK and Beth Jarrett of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren, Tammy Drugovich, Angela Ropchan, Shana Gonsman, Robert Crabtree, Sonny Crabtree, Joseph Jarrett, and Dr. Jaime Jarrett; numerous, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren along with numerous other loved ones and friends.
