Betty Jean (Sheppard) Hutchings was born on March 13, 1932 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Walter Sheppard and Ollie Mae (Morris) Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Luther "Luke" Reynolds; sister, Verda Mae Love; and infant son, Randall Keith Corelius.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Hugo and had many jobs throughout her life, including Wells Lamont Glove Factory and caring for the elderly people in the community. Betty loved her cats. She fed most of the strays in her neighborhood and took numerous strays as her own throughout the years. In her spare time, Betty liked to play board games, dominos, loved to cook and sing along to the radio when she was younger. Before her failing health, Betty was active in church and enjoyed serving the Lord. Betty's faith was strong and prayed daily without fail. She made friends everywhere she went, and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Sherra Kaye Moore of Paris, TX; sister, Pat Young of Hugo, OK; grandchildren, Bryan Jeong and Johnna Jeong; extended family, Joye Satterfield, Dana Rabon, Mike Bates and Craig Bates; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other friends, family and relatives.
