Bernice Jeanette Talley was born on June 6, 1942 in Lordsburg, New Mexico to James Clyde Luna and Thelma Inez (Houston) Luna. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Bernice was a life-long resident of McCurtain county. She married the love of her life J.E. Talley on June 25, 1960 in Idabel, OK and started their life together. Bernice was known for being a hard worker; retiring at the age of 79. She was dedicated wife, mother and grandmother; her family always came first in her life. Everything she did, she did to the best of her ability, whether it was her job or spending every second she could with her family. She would say "If its worth doing, do it right and do it today, not tomorrow.". That mentality and strength will live on forever through her family. Bernice will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bernice leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, J.E. Talley; children, Martin Talley of Valliant, OK and Sheila Laurence of Arizona; grandchildren, Erica, Andrea, Sara and Maisie; great grandchild, Brielle; brothers, Melvin Luna of Valliant, OK and Alvin Luna of Valliant, OK; along with a host of other friends, family and loved ones.
