Theodore Arnold Crain, Jr., 95, passed on from this life on August 5, 2026, in Hugo, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 8, 1931, four miles north of Hugo, Oklahoma, the oldest child of Theodore Arnold Crain, Sr. and Willie Jewell (Collins) Crain. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Jewell; beloved wife, Betty Fay (Griffin) Crain; and sisters, Melba Sue Barnett and Marie Guin.

Arnold grew up around the Hugo area and was a graduate of Hugo High School, Class of 1948. In the summer of 1950, Arnold went to work for Ethyl Dow Corporation in Houston, Texas, where he worked for 23 months until he received his notice that he was being drafted. He joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country. During his time in the military, he married his loving wife, Betty, on September 27,1952. The military moved the couple to several bases throughout the next few years and when Arnold was honorably discharged in 1956, the family moved back to Freeport, Texas. Arnold started back to work at the same corporation, now called The Dow Chemical Company, where he worked for over 25 years, later retiring in 1982 as the Security Captain. After retirement, Betty and Arnold moved back to where they grew up, Hugo, Oklahoma and they enjoyed 60 years together until Betty's passing in 2012.

Arnold cherished time with family and friends; especially hanging out with his beloved dog, Rusty. He found joy in being surrounded by the people he loved, and he valued the simple but meaningful moments spent together. Whether sharing conversation, laughter, or quiet companionship, he made others feel welcome and appreciated. A man of deep faith, those who knew him could see that his faith was not only spoken but lived out in the way he cared for his family, welcomed his friends, and carried himself. Arnold leaves behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, and strength that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Arnold is survived by his loving family; sons, Richard "Ricky" Crain and spouse, Cheryl, Wayne Crain and spouse, Cindy, and Billy Crain and spouse, Vickye; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; his beloved dog, Rusty and a host of friends and other family.
