Archie Roy Draper, Sr.,77, passed on from this life on April 23, 2025, at his home in Grant, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family.

Archie was born on October 12, 1947, in Goodwater, Oklahoma, the son of Luke Laverne Draper and Ollie June (Gibson) Draper. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Draper and sisters, Deborah Derouen and Linda Burch.

Archie spent most of his life in Grant, Oklahoma. He married his wife, Leslie (Wilson) Draper, on September 6, 1968, and they built their life together.

Archie was known to his family as a mechanic and always enjoyed tinkering on things around the house. He was also an avid outdoorsman. Archie found peace in the quiet of fishing and the thrill of hunting, a joy that he passed down to his children and grandchildren. If he wasn't on the lake or in the woods, you could often find him at a table surrounded by friends and family, playing cards and sharing stories that would echo with laughter. Above all else, there was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Archie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Archie is survived by his family; wife of 56 years, Leslie Draper; sons, Archie "Tooter" Draper, Jr. (Misti) of Grant, OK, David "Buck" Draper (Leah) of Grant, OK, and Jason "Slick" Draper and (Lisa) of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Nick Draper (Karley), Kyle Draper (Ashlyn), Chandon Draper (Hailey), Megan Draper (Dyllan Billy), Nakole Self, Dhestiny Draper (Kyle), McKenna Draper, Breileigh Draper and Luke Draper (Lyla); 17 great grandchildren; sister, Susie Cartwright, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
