Alisha DeAnn Ruffin, 50, was born on November 11, 1974, in DeQueen, Arkansas, the daughter of Troy James Ruffin and Lois Faye (Hanley) Ruffin. She was preceded in death by her father, Troy.

Alisha was a lifelong resident of McCurtain County and was a graduate of Wright City High School. During the earlier years of her life, she received her LPN license and was recently attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University to further her education. Alisha was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her loving family, whom she adored.

Alisha was known for having a kind heart, a smile on her face and never meeting a stranger. Her sudden passing has left a void in many lives, but her loving memory will live on in all the hearts she has touched.

Alisha is survived by her loving family; mother, Lois Ruffin; daughters, Akasha Glover of McCurtain County, OK and August Cantrell and husband, Kenneth Ricks, Jr. of McCurtain County, OK; brother, Keith Engel; sister, Kimberley O'Shields; six grandchildren; along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
