Alice Marie (Caldwell) Bishop, 81, was born October 11, 1942 in Oleta, OK, the daughter of Coleman Samuel Caldwell and Eliza (Aaron) Caldwell. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard A. Bishop; brother, Melton Ray Caldwell and her parents, Coleman and Eliza Caldwell.

Alice married Richard A. Bishop on November 24, 2008, in Miami, OK, after having been a devoted couple to each other since March 25, 1980. Together, they traveled all over the world, participating in fishing tournaments. As a pro bass fisherman sponsored by Ranger Boats, she traveled the bass circuit, making a name for herself as the first woman to fish alongside male pro fishermen. Her adventurous spirit did not stop at the water's edge. Alice also spent time traveling the world as a truck driver with her husband.  Their journeys together created a lifetime of memories and stories that she loved to share with her family.

Alice was a talented quilter, often gifting her beautiful creations to family and friends. She loved to cook and took great joy in feeding everyone who visited her home. Alice never met a stranger and was Granny to everyone in the Valliant area. She was a fan of simple pleasures, like sitting on the porch with a hot cup of coffee, chatting with loved ones, or just enjoying the quiet of the morning. Her beloved dogs, Hobo and Margarita were her cherished companions, and many hours of love were spent with them after Richard's passing. Above all, Alice will be remembered for her love. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who put her family at the center of her world and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Lisa Kitchings and husband, Michael of Overton, TX, Rose Butler of Broken Bow, OK; son, Tommy Anderson and wife, Kristina of LaRue, TX; grandchildren; Milton Pledger, Elesha Pledger, Ashley McCarty, Monte Schrader, Shelby Schrader, Jordan Anderson, Seth Anderson, Savanna Layman, Ashton Abendroth, Gabriel Anderson, Keerstin-Moyer-Potgieter and Michael Moyer; fifteen great grandchildren; brothers, Cecil Caldwell and Hubert Caldwell; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
