Albert Franklin Miller, age 87, was born on November 5, 1937, in Frogville, Oklahoma, to Albert Scofield Miller and Ethel Mae (Rosson) Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graduate of Wilburton High School, Albert went on to serve his country with distinction in the United States Army. His military career took him through France, Korea and Vietnam, where he earned several commendations for his service. Later, he was stationed in Germany and then at Fort Hood, retiring in 1979 after 22½ years of dedicated service.

On December 19, 1964, Albert married his beloved wife, Catherine Rodriquez, in San Antonio, Texas. Together, they lived at various Army posts and visited many places in Germany during his military service and built a beautiful life while raising their four sons.

In retirement, Albert found joy in the outdoors— fishing, hunting, visiting with friends and meeting new people. Above all, he cherished his role as a devoted husband, father, and pawpaw. His love for his family was deep and enduring, and his memory will live on in all who knew and loved him.

Albert is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine Miller of the home; sons Albert Franklin Miller, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Littleton, CO; Paul Richard Miller and wife Jacque of San Tan Valley, AZ; Ruben James Miller and wife Pamela of Nokomis, FL; and Ronald Wayne Miller of Hugo, OK. He is also survived by his grandchildren—Matthew, Shelby, Madeline, Harlee, Zackary, Hayden, Mackenna, Katie, John Owen, and Christopher—along with eight great-grandchildren and a host of extended family, friends, and loved ones.
